Travel Tuesday Photo: Paragliding at Pyla
The largest sand dune in Europe can be found at Pilat, or Pyla, near Bordeaux, France. It is unbelievably massive and due to its positioning, is perpetually windy. This makes it particularly attractive for paragliders, who flock to the dune in droves.
This photo was taken during my visit to Pyla. I sat for hours, transfixed as I watched the paragliders drift back and forth across the dunes. Watching them has inspired me to look into lessons for myself, and so I thought I would share a shot of one of the paragliders trying to get his chute under control.
